Some of my favorite things including, brocolli, kermit the frog.....oh wait that's not what we're talking about.  Tuesday November 15th is America Recycles Day.

Our friends at the City Of Richland have embraced this and they have shared lots of links for you live a more "Green" lifestyle! So here is a little more information from our friends at The Tri-City Herald.

America Recycles Day -- the only nationally recognized day dedicated to the promotion of recycling -- is set for Tuesday.

Americans are encouraged to step up their recycling efforts by learning or doing more to inspire recycling, expanding or reaffirming current recycling efforts or visiting a local library or recycling center to increase their environmental knowledge.

In Richland, residents can find information on its Green Living webpages. Citizens can also sign up for curbside recycling, paperless billing or subscribe to the Green Living Newsletter.

At 10 a.m. Tuesday, the City of Richland's Kids Interactive Educator (CORKIE the Robot) will be a guest reader during the Richland Public Library’s 30-minute storytime on recycling.

For more information about this national event, log onto http://americarecyclesday.org/.

Other area residents may call their local garbage provider or nearby recycling center for more information.
