I’m Going to be a Duck Grandma!

This might seem silly to some, but I am over the moon excited to go out to my hen house today to discover duck eggs. I adopted two domestic ducks this past summer and became a duck mommy. These two stinkers have become a part of my daily life and I look forward to seeing them at the end of my day as much as they are excited to see mill worms!

I was hoping they would lay eggs this past summer, but knowing nothing about ducks I learned I wouldn't see eggs until spring. Well spring is almost here and eggs have sprung! I am hoping I have a very maternal duck mama and she decides to make me a duck grandma. Hopefully my next blog about ducks will be about baby ducks...
