
Here’s How to Bake The Best Biscuits EVER
I want to first say I am not a very accomplished baker so making the perfect biscuits is a challenge I'm ready to take...here's a recipe and technique you just may want to try....
Stack of Buttermilk Biscuits
- 2 1/4 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 4 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/3 Cup VERY COLD Butter
- 1 Cup VERY COLD Milk
Preheat oven to 450 (yes, that hot)
Mix the powder ingredients first, then add the tiny chunks of butter (or mix in a food processor). Add liquid last.
Here's the Secret.....
I just chopped my cold butter up with a knife... there were big chunks of butter. The less you knead it the better, after adding liquid you gently mix, then gently knead minimally— that’s the secret!!!!
