If you're planning a New Year's Eve party for the whole family -- or for people who don't drink -- here are some of my favorite punch recipes.

    2/3 cup lemon juice
    1 quart orange juice
    2 (2 liter) bottles of lemon-lime soda

Boil the sugar, water and gelatin. Stir in the juice. Freeze in ice cube trays. Then add to soda in a punch bowl and stir until slushy.

  • 11

    Snow Princess Punch

    1 cup mini marshmallows
    1/2 cup decorating sugar
    1/2 cup castor sugar
    Lemon slices
    2 liter-bottle of fruit-flavored sparkling water
2 cups frozen blueberries or strawberries

Keep the fruit frozen. Freeze the marshmallows.
Combine the sugar in a flat plate. Use the lemon slices to give party glasses a sticky rim around the top. Dip those rims into the sugar to look like salt on a cocktail or margarita glass.
In a punch bowl add the fruit-flavored sparkling water, frozen marshmallows and frozen fruit. Serve in the sugar-rimmed party glasses.
