Andrew Kirk[/caption]We talk about it on air all the time, but if you were to join us on air some morning, you'd see we all have cups of green and brown sludge lying around the studio. Those are our vegetable smoothies we drink for breakfast. DJs wake up really, really early in the morning, so it's common for us to take naps when we get home. Greg Delange said if he drinks the sludge with me he's got so much energy he doesn't need the nap!

With all the sickness and flu going around right now, you could use some immune boosters!

And whether you've admitted it or not, we know you've got a resolution to lose some weight. What better way is there to start off the morning?
I have a VitaMix I talk about all the time. Here's my recipe:

  • kale
  • parsley
  • carrot
  • beet
  • apple
  • celery
  • apple
  • banana

Faith Martin on at midday has a MagicBullet blender and a Ninja blender she bought at Costco and uses this recipe:

  • spinach and/or kale
  • frozen bananas
  • frozen mixed berries (from Costco)
  • almond milk
  • protein powder
  • ground flax seed
  • Agave honey

Our web editor Andrew uses a regular blender and this is his:

  • spinach
  • sweetened almond milk
  • vanilla or honey-flavored Greek yogurt
  • banana
  • frozen blueberries
  • finely chopped celery
  • chia seeds

We are officially the cool kids. If you're not doing what we're doing, you're not hip. Hop on the bandwagon and swig down a healthy smoothie with us tomorrow morning!
