15 yr Old That Started Eagle Creek Fire is Being Charged
The young boy from Vancouver Washington is being charged with misdemeanors in the eagle creek fire that started on September 2nd 2017. Authorities claim a witness saw him throw a smoke bomb down a cliff which sparked the fire.
The fire burned 49,000 acres of forest land and various structures. Technically he will be charged as a juvenile. The boy faces allegations including reckless burning, depositing burning materials on forest lands, unlawful possession of fireworks, criminal mischief and recklessly endangering other persons.
The boy's identity has not been revealed to the public due to safety concerns.
