Washington State Fair Cancels All Events Until March 31st 2020
The Washington State Fair released a statement concerning the cancellations of events based on Governor Inslee's ban on social gatherings of more than 250 people.
Here is what the Press Release says:
By order of the governor, the Washington State Fair will immediately cancel all events through the end of March 2020, with the possibility of a longer time frame. Governor Inslee’s prohibition of large social gatherings (more than 250 people) in Pierce, King and Snohomish counties is intended to aid in the immediate need to help keep Washingtonians healthy and safe.
As the COVID-19 virus continues to spread throughout our state, we understand this is a fluid situation, and we are in constant communication with our local and state partners as this evolves.
If you purchased tickets for the Paddy O’Party March 14, 2020, you will be refunded. If you purchased by credit or debit card, either online or at the Box Office, refunds will be processed automatically and refunded to the original card used for payment. There is no need to contact The Fair. Please allow 7-10 business days for processing. If your card has been canceled since you purchased, please contact the Box Office at boxoffice@thefair.com.
The status of the Washington State Spring Fair is still to be determined, based on the governor’s mandate of large social gatherings in our county.
Most non-fairtime events at the Washington State Fair Events Center are organized by third parties. We are working with our event promoters to reschedule events where possible. Please contact individual show promoters for ticket refunds and/or additional information.
Our thoughts are with those patients, families and communities impacted by COVID-19.
Please check our website, https://www.thefair.com/covid-19-statement/ or our social media channels for updates.
We'll keep you updated as we get more details on the cancellations.
