Pierce County Deputies Spent 20 Minutes Chasing a Goat in Traffic

Of course we have to ask...how many sheriff's deputies does it take to catch one loose goat? You may be surprised. You will get a chuckle.

According to the Sheriff's Office, some things aren't taught at the Police Academy, such as goat wrangling.

On Monday, deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a loose goat dodging in and out of traffic. At about 4:30 pm, deputies and Animal Control responded to the area of 122nd Street South and Park Avenue South, near Pacific Lutheran University.

One Deputy Attempted to Communicate With the Animal By Speaking GOAT

After about 20 minutes, and quite a foot pursuit through the neighborhood, deputies and Animal Control finally cornered the four-legged escape artist.

The Goat Was Transported to a Local Pet Rescue for Care

After the goat was in custody, law enforcement transported the animal to a local rescue farm, where it was cared for until its owner was found.
