The City of Walla Walla has officially proclaimed July as Walla Walla Sweet Onion Month! And, we're ready to celebrate this sweet regional treasure.

While it's a short but sweet season, the City of Walla Walla is recognizing the much-beloved bulb that has put the region on the culinary map, the Walla Walla Sweet Onion.

With a population of about 45,000, Walla Walla and its surrounding area is known as an "oasis in the desert." According to the website Sweetonions.org:

Walla Walla is Home of the longest continually operating symphony west of the Mississippi, 3 colleges, wineries, and local restaurants.
