“National Night Out” With City Of Richland
The City of Richland and local Target stores host "National Night Out Against Crime & Drugs" today August 2, from 5-9pm.
The event will be held at Columbia Marina Park (660 Columbia Point Drive east of George Washington Way.
This event is totally free and will include" Hot dogs, chips, cookies and sodas for the first 300 people.
Games and activities, such as a fishpond, beanbag toss, face painting, coloring tables and other games with Richland Parks & Recreation and Richland Public Library.
Five bounce houses will be available for youngsters.
Live music by primitive Circus, sponsored by Friends of the Richland Public Library. ( Bring lawn chairs or blankets to put on grass)
Emergency vehicles, displayed by Richland Police, Richland Fire & Emergency Services and Benton County Sheriff's Office: a police car, fire engine, command vehicle, rescue boat, bomb squad robot and SWAT vehicle and safety demonstrations.
Raffle for two bicycles, other give-aways and informational handouts
Finger printing of kids by Richland Police VIP's from 5-7pm.
A brief opening ceremony will take place at 5pm and will include presentation of the colors by the Tri-City Young Marines, welcome by Police Chief Chris Skinner and reading of a proclamation by Mayor John Fox.
