Do You Need to Disinfect Your Groceries? WA State Dept. of Health Says NO
I've heard of several different ways people are disinfecting their groceries after a trip to the store. One friend of mine is spraying things like fresh apples and carrots with a very light solution of Dawn dish washing soap and water, then rinsing thoroughly. Another friend wipes down potato chip bags and such with Clorox wipes. Here's what the Washington State Dept. of Health says on the matter:
