84 Yr Old Man Drives 1800 Miles to Tri-Cities for Covid Shot
Just this past summer, my wife and I were sitting on the couch, And she said what are we gonna have for dinner? I said, I don't know I'm kind of in the mood for a Pork Chop John's sandwich. She said well let's just drive to Butte and get one!
Let me give you a little backstory here. We bpth went to high school in Butte, Montana. And all through high school, where did everybody hangout on Friday nights? Pork Chop John's. They serve up pork fritter sandwich that is just tremendous! It's kind of like a chicken sandwich, you know, a breaded chicken sandwich you might get at McDonald's or Wendy's. But it's a pork patty. And there's really nothing like it! It's kind of one of those flavors that takes us back in time. So, we jumped in the car and drove to Butte, Montana for a sandwich!
That's kind of like what this guy did, only he did it to potentially save his life. He was living in Oklahoma, but did not qualify to get the Covid vaccine shot there as he is still a Washington resident. So he drove 1800 miles, all the way to the Benton Franklin Fairgrounds to get his Covid shot. Since his daughter lives in Richland, he will just stay with her until he needs to get the second shot in a month or so. Full story below.
Now I'm thinking about a pork chop sandwich. Might have to drive to Butte this weekend.
