It's really tough to know when someone is flirting with you, and when they're just being friendly and warm. Here are some ways to tell:

1. They make any excuse to touch you.

I like to sit next to the person I have a crush on and then "by accident" I'll brush my arm against theirs, and then just leave my arm next to theirs. If they recoil, no good. If they leave it, they're either a "touchy feely" kind of person, or they're into you. Step two is to get up, and when you sit down again, sit 6 inches further away. If they scoot back over the 6 inches, then you know they're into you. If results are inconclusive, watch how they act around others. Are they "touchy feely" around others?

2. Tell a terrible joke and if they laugh, they're into you.

3. The stories about your life your friends have all heard and interrupt you when you start retelling one -- if your date can't hear enough of those, they're into you.

4. When they offer to help you with something -- a job of some kind -- that sucks. And you're thinking, "Why would you want to do that without pay?" They're probably into you.

5. When in a group and everyone laughs, look at them -- if they look at you first, they're probably into you. (Doesn't make sense to me either -- it's some kind of psychology voodoo).

6. If they fall asleep on you (and weren't drunk) they're probably into you.

7. If they always try to get conversation going again after the natural flow of the conversation died, they might be into you.

8. If a texting conversation comes to a close, but they keep texting trying to keep it going, they're probably into you.

9. If they touch their hair more than normal when talking to you, they're interested in you.

10. If someone mentions their single status in a regular conversation and it's not in the context of complaining about their ex, they're probably into you.
