Andrew Kirk has been a journalist for nine years. Although originally from the Tri-Cities, he has lived in Utah for the past 17 years and is a graduate of the University of Utah. He is married with children and currently lives in Richland. He is an amateur historian and used to teach Mandarin Chinese to middle school students in Park City, Utah. For fun he watches movies, visits parks with his kids and occasionally rides a bicycle.

How Much Should I Pay a Tri-Cities Babysitter? [POLL]

The other night I asked a couple people -- including a stranger -- how much we should pay the babysitter if the kids were asleep the whole time. They all said, "Nothing." WHAT?! I know that's not right, but how much is fair? We usually end up paying between $13-$16 for three kids age 6 and below for between 2-3 hours (they're usually asleep for at least some of it). Is that good? What's fair?

Man Found Dead in Pasco Motel Room [PHOTOS]

Pasco police are investigating a possible homicide at the Tahitian Inn behind Lee's Tahitian on the corner of Lewis Street and 28th. Newstalk 870 reporter Hayden Sprenkle said the motel room was torn up. KNDU is reporting there may also have been a fire in the room and the body was found by a maid at about 10:30 a.m.

She followed the man and his girlfriend on a date and then watched as he began to beat her back at the apartment. The photographer's presence and her camera likely saved the woman from serious harm.

A musician named Baauer released a song called, "Harlem Shake" in 2012. In early February, 2013, a video was posted to Youtube (warning, it's mildly crude) showing four people dancing to the introduction, then going crazy when the bass hits. Then as early as Feb. 2 multiple groups of friends and coworkers began posting similar videos to Facebook riffing off one another.
