There's great news at the mass vaccination site at the Benton-Franklin Fairgrounds.  Slots are available and hundreds of appointments have been added for this week's supply of second Pfizer doses.  Approximately 6,000 more doses are available.

You can register online at Prepmod.doh.wa.gov/ or by calling the State Covid-19 Assistance Hotline at 800-525-0127 or 888-856-5816, then press #.

You can only receive the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine if you bring your Covid-19 Vaccination Record Card.

Second doses of the Moderna vaccine will be available on Wednesday, March 3rd. Anyone who's received their first dose of the Moderna vaccine at the fairgrounds is eligible for the second. However, the Moderna vaccine is in limited supply. You NEED to make an appointment ASAP for the Moderna vaccine.

So, where are we in getting people vaccinated? According to the Washington State Department of Health,

We are getting closer to reaching our goal of 45,000 doses a day. Vaccine providers already administered over 1.4 million doses of vaccine from the 1.8 million we received from the federal government and that’s over 77%. Last week, providers averaged 26,200 vaccine doses every day.

We are making progress! Keep masking up, practice social distancing, wash hands, and sanitize and disinfect areas frequently.

We are moving in the right direction. The spread of COVID-19 is slowing down and cases and hospitalizations are decreasing. We are getting the vaccine out as quickly and fairly as possible. These signs of success are encouraging — and only possible because of you. Washingtonians pitched in and followed the safety measures to slow the spread, and it is working!

With a faster-spreading COVID-19 variant now here in Washington state, we need to keep it up! We all play a role in keeping each other safe. Continue to wear a mask, stay six feet away from others, and wash your hands. Get tested if needed and get the vaccine when it’s your turn.
