If you are like me, it is hard sometimes to pull yourself away from work. I love my job, but over the years I have learned that getting away from the work place is key to a balanced life.

I just spent 4 days with my father in Kettle Falls, we fished every day and watched T.V. every night. The bottom line, it didn't really matter what we were doing, we got too hang out, together. Take your vacation, I guarantee your job can manage with out you. My mom passed away last August, and there isn't a day that goes by when I think I should have spent more time with her, even too just pick up the phone and say hi. Our family had a great time together, and the vacations we took are what I miss the most. Don't let your kids memory of a vacation be them at a water park and you working on your laptop in the motel room, let it go. I miss my older sister, Deena and my Mom terribly, But I still have lots of family left, and I will spend as much time with them as time will allow, and that means vacations togrther. Work will always be there, family won't.
