You gotta hand it to them!   Takes a lot of guts to ask.Perhaps because of the candy "hangover" or being worn out from trick-or-treating, the 4th grade students at Calvary Christian School in Kennewick started a petition to be allowed to take Nov. 1st off!

Cavan Bower, one of the students, started the petition because they would be attending the school's Harvest Carnival, then trick or treating that evening.  The idea took off, and administrators discovered dozens of student signatures on the petition.

While it didn't result in a day off,  teachers-perhaps admiring their spunk-are going to allow the students to wear their pajamas to school, and start the day with a movie.   Bower's class is the only on the school that petitioned, and will be receiving somewhat of a reward.
