If you’re like me, when you go to the store and are hungry, that is the WORST TIME TO SHOP! Everything and anything becomes fair game! Especially treats! Usually, there’s no big deal, with the exception of maybe a little buyer’s remorse. Unless that treat you get is part of a major recall!

On March 15th (2023), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a snack food item recall due to possible listeria contamination. The Piscataway, New Jersey company Clio Snacks released a voluntary recall of its STRAWBERRY GRANOLA & GREEK YOGURT PARFAIT BARS as the treat in question.

The treats in question were sold at Walmart stores in Washington, Oregon, California, and many other locations throughout the United States. You can check out that complete list here.

The recalled products were in a single-serving box, with the UPC Code: 854021008152 and a Lot Number of 048C2023. Of those, the parfait bars that have an expiration date stamped on the side of the box of 04-30-2023 are the ones that are at risk of the listeria contamination.

Strawberry Granola & Greek Yogurt Parfait Bar is the only product impacted. No other products are being recalled. No illnesses have been reported to date. - Recall Notice

If you did purchase the product, you can return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or simply destroy them.

"The third-party manufacturer has ceased production and Clio has ceased distribution of the affected product while the FDA and the company continue their investigation into what caused the problem."
