High school baseball comes to an end soon, but some of the season's best baseball will begin in June with American Legion Baseball.  Legion ball is typically made up of the best high school players from around the region. Which makes for some exciting baseball.

During the next three weeks you'll likely run into a Legion player looking for support.  If they want to play...they have to raise the money.

Here's a great way to help the Pasco American Legion team.  Shakey’s Pizza on Road 68 is offering a Sun Devils Day on Friday, May 11th.  All day long any order of food at regular price (not including beer or pop) gives 20% to the Sun Devils, as long as you tell them that you are there to support the Sun Devils.

American Legion Baseball is one of the most successful and tradition-rich amateur athletic leagues. Today, the program registers over 5,400 teams in all 50 states, including Canada and Puerto Rico. Almost 100,000 youths, ages 15 to 19, participate annually. Since its inception, the league has had 10 million players, and nearly 75 percent of current college players are program graduates.

Legion Baseball also has a reputation for serving the young people who play for it. In college scholarships, the league annually awards a total of $51,000 - $1,000 for a player selected from each department based upon leadership, character, scholarship and financial need.
