Motorist Drives Into Backyard Pool in Pasco

The morning got off to a bit of an uneasy start for one driver near Ninth Avenue and Court Street. It happens. Clearly, an accidental move had the driver of an SUV accelerating forward instead of reversing. The SUV knocked down a neighbor's fence and the SUV landed in the backyard pool. Fortunately, the driver was able to get out and was NOT injured in the accident. The driver was NOT impaired.

Several People Called 911 to Report a Burning Garbage Truck

At about 11:45 am, several calls came in regarding a Basin Disposal garbage truck on fire on Pender Avenue. The engine compartment was smoking and started burning. The driver of the garbage truck was also able to get away safely. Firefighters used foam to extinguish the fire.

Being light-hearted about the incidents, Pasco Police posted on social media inquiring about what else could occur.
