Riveting Race Action This Weekend as the Richland Regatta Kicks Off
Get ready for some exciting race action on the Columbia River this weekend!
The Richland Regatta and APBA Western Divisional will have fans enthralled for 3 days of hydroplane racing on the water.
All the fun can be experienced from Howard Amon Park.
Keep in mind that along with the action comes congested traffic. George Washington Way will have an increased amount of vehicle traffic and may be stop and go near the popular park during the event.
There will be closures.
Lee Boulevard from Amon Park Drive to the riverfront will be closed. Amon Park Drive will remain closed to traffic between Newton Street and the Fingernail. It remains open for bicyclists and pedestrians
The North Howard Amon boat launch will be closed all weekend due to the Regatta. There will be no access to the public through Sunday evening. You are advised to use Columbia Point Marina or Leslie Groves boat launches.
The Richland Regatta is FREE for everyone to enjoy. Various food and drink vendors will be on site. Wear your sunscreen.
The Richland Regatta is a preview of the 2022 HAPO Columbia Cup/Over the River Air Show. That event is set for July 29th through July 31st, at Columbia Park in Kennewick.
