Two new red light traffic cameras have already nabbed 600 motorists disobeying red lights in two different intersections over the last 30 days.

The intersections with the new cameras are located at  North Road 68 and Burden Blvd and at W Court St and N 20th Ave.

Warnings are being issued to the 600 drivers with 175 warning letters already sent out and the final tally to be sent later this week.

The City of Pasco is hoping the new cameras will cut down on the accidents and distracted driving in two of the area's busiest intersections.

So far, no tickets have been issued but the City forewarns that the grace period will soon be over and tickets will start being issued in the amount of $125.

The warnings to the 600 are a good start to alerting motorists that the cameras will soon start issuing monetary tickets in the future.
