Sunday night, a domestic disturbance left a large hole in a fence and a mom in the custody of Kennewick Police.

Around 9:14 PM officers responded to 1800 block of West 28th, over a report of a mother pointing a gun at a 16-year-old youth.

Upon arrival, the Police learned the boy had been able to escape, and the gun was taken from the woman by the boy's father. However, the woman refused to exit the residence. After an hour-long standoff, including bringing in the K-9 unit for a warning, the intoxicated woman finally came out. However, during the arrest, she kicked one office and spit on another.

Police said due to her level of intoxication she was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. She's now facing a variety of charges related to the incident. Police didn't say what led to the incident. No one was seriously hurt in the altercation.

Pictured is the gun, it's an old-style 22-caliber revolver, capable of causing serious injury or death despite its smaller bullets.
