Lost Tri-Cities ASB Card Returned After 38 Years at Bottom of Lake
38 years ago, a student for Carmichael Junior High School in Tri-Cities Washington lost their student ID in Priest Lake and probably thought it was gone FOREVER. It is funny how sometimes things that should be lost forever, find their way back home.
Turns out a man named Tim Lewis posted on a Tricities Facebook group that he had found a wallet at Priest Lake with a student ID in it from 38 years ago.
Tim said that he had found the wallet in Outlet Bay, and was hoping that someone would recognize the face of the student. Surprisingly the ID was still clear enough to read even after all these years under water. Right away, people in the forum started looking for the owner of the ID.
One person even remembered the kind of wallet it was in, saying "they were the best!". Maybe that is why you could still see the picture after 38 years under water.
Very soon after, the original owner of the ID was identified and people in the forum were already trying to contact them.
Turns out, Vic Parish was the owner of the ID. He didn't even remember losing it until he heard the story again which brought it all back according to news reports. His family had rented a cabin often growing up in Outlet Bay when he lost the wallet in the water years ago and figured it was long gone. Tim stated that he was going to mail the card and the wallet it was in back to Vic and stay in touch. What a cool ending to a strange story. I keep waiting for things I lost in that lake to be returned to me with no avail.
