Kenny Chesney Adds New Amphitheater Dates to His ‘Here and Now’ Stadium Tour
Kenny Chesney is nearly doubling his 2022 Here and Now Tour, adding 20 amphitheater dates to his previously-announced 21-stop run of stadium shows. The new additions to the tour will make for a full slate of spring and summer concerts, with plenty of opportunities to see Chesney on the road in both stadium and amphitheater settings.
The singer decided to expand his tour in light of the lengthy break he's been forced to take due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he says.
"I never thought we’d be away from No Shoes Nation for three years,” Chesney explains. “Now that we finally have the chance to spend the summer together again, I really wanted to provide as many opportunities as possible for everyone to come out and celebrate the music with us...Whether stadiums or amphitheaters, I can’t wait to see my favorite people in the world.”
Dan + Shay, Old Dominion and Carly Pearce were previously announced as opening acts for the summer 2022 stadium dates; Pearce will also join Chesney for all the new amphitheater stops. Tickets for the newly-added shows go on sale February 11 at 10AM local time.
This new tour (named after the 2020 studio album, Here and Now) is two years in the making, as Chesney has been forced to postpone twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The trek finds him returning to NFL stadiums, with two tour-ending shows at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots. These back-to-back shows are a tradition for the No Shoes Nation.
