Homemade Birch Baskets

Meet D.J. he is my 13 year old nephew who lives off grid in the mountains just above Sandpoint Idaho. He is definitely not your average kid. He has been home schooled for most of his life and he has skills that go far beyond your average teenage boy.

Last time he visited he taught me one of his many skills, how to make a basket out of the birch bark he gathered and treated himself. So rustic and creative. Hopefully he will get his own Etsy page up and running soon and shares these baskets with the world, because I am not sharing mine! ~Janis
