
Fall Salmon Run Reaches Highest Number Since the 1930’s
Fall Chinook return to the Hanford Reach in record numbers this year.
It's estimated 200,000 Chinook are spawning, which is the most for the Hanford Reach area since the 1930's!
This year's Chinook run on the Snake and Columbia river was the second best since counting started back in 1938.
The Bonneville Power Administration says about 1.2 million fish have returned to their tributaries.
