Chloe Kohanski Is the Winner of ‘The Voice’ Season 13!
Chloe Kohanski was crowned the winner of The Voice Season 13 on Tuesday night (Dec. 19).
The raspy-voiced, rock-oriented vocalist, who was mentored by coach Blake Shelton, won over first runner-up Addison Agen from Team Adam Levine. Her win marked Shelton's sixth overall win as coach, further sealing his already healthy lead as the coach with the most wins.
Kohanski competed against the teenage Agen, Brooke Simpson, and fellow team Shelton member Red Marlow for the Season 13 crown on Monday night (Dec. 18), capping off a season that has seen a number of outstanding country music performances. Agen gave a wrenching, tearful rendition of Tim McGraw's "Humble and Kind" on Monday to make her final case for votes, while Kohanski teamed with Shelton for a duet on Roy Orbison's "You Got It."
Shelton also joined his other remaining team member, Red Marlow, on Brad Paisley's "I'm Gonna Miss Her," and Marlow got the chance to offer up an original song of his titled "I Pray" on Monday night before viewers cast their final ballots.
The winner of The Voice Season 13 wins $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Music Group or with Big Machine.
