330 Pound Sturgeon Caught in Richland by Local Woman!

Natalie Smith from West Richland Washington was fishing in Richland on Tuesday July 23rd when she hooked a monster that was almost three times her size!

Around 8:00 p.m. on the Columbia river her pole jerked and the fight was on! Natalie fought the beastly oversizer white sturgeon for about thirty minutes before reeling it to shore to expose its eight and a half foot long body.

Sturgeon of that size commonly weigh in around 330 pounds. Unfortunately it was over the keeper size, which is between 43 and 54 inches, so they took a few pictures and a quick video before releasing it back into the water. Keep on fishin' girl!
