Should ‘Kennewick Man’ Be Renamed ‘Coastal Man’?

Have you heard the news? An expert gave a presentation this week at Central Washington University laying out evidence for why the Kennewick Man was likely not a native of the Columbia Basin, but rather a visitor from the coast. Apparently isotopes in his bones suggest his diet primarily consisted of marine animals!

So that settles where he came from (sort of).

But that also opens up MORE mystery! Why was he in Kennewick? It also makes that quacky Japanese kayaker here last spring less quacky!
