Cortez was one the players I remember most from my childhood and easily one of the best players to ever play for the Seahawks. Cortez had recently been working as a consultant to the Saints because of his relationship with the General Manager that used to work for the Seahawks. A few more high points of his life, ESPN voted Cortez the best athlete to ever wear #96 in 2017 and he was added to the Seahawks Ring of Honor in 2006.

Police say that Cortez Kennedy died alone at his home, but today his entire Seahawks family is with him in spirit.
