Running Of the Bulls Facts:

It's been celebrated annually since 1592, so it's actually 421 years old.!

This year, the festival went from July 7th to July 14th, and they did one running each day
at 8 A.M. Since 1910, only 15 people have died from being trampled or gored. (about one every SEVEN years.) The last death was in 1995. and each running last only 3 minutes.

along with the six bulls released, they also release six STEERS . . . which are CASTRATED bulls. And it's actually for SAFETY reasons. Bulls tend to be more aggressive when they're separated from the herd. And having the slower
steers with them keeps them from going too crazy.
