A California town who's Little League is in need of some extra cash, returned a $1,200 donation because it came from a strip club. The Lennox Little League is located near the Los Angeles airport, and is a poorer section of the city. After the story made the national news, the league had an emergency meeting and decided to give the money back. The league president said they were trying to improve what was once an image problem with the Lennox Little League. Dear Lennox little league, I applaud what you think is the right thing to do, but you missed the boat. You're in a depressed area of Los Angeles, you are surrounded by illegal activities, murder, prostitution, drug trafficking, and god knows what else. A business that is legal, but not the most popular with some folks gives you 1200 dollars, you take it. It's not about image, or who may complain about where the money came from, it's about 300 kids who want to play ball. Just maybe that 1200 dollars might keep a kid out of a gang because he likes playing second base, and not shooting a store clerk. Thank the strip club and move on. Maybe some of the people apposed to taking the money frequent the club, and are afraid of being exposed. Face it, Lennox isn't a third world country, so you are not going to get help from our own government, or your Governor. I have some bad news for the beautiful people, what goes on in that club has been going on for hundreds of years, and will continue long after we're gone. It's called supply and demand, I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying. Kids actually wanting to go outside and play, I say play ball already.
