As the holidays approach, I wanted to share a little grilling history from the great days of yore, so I headed down to your barbeque headquarters at Ranch & Home.

A lot of people don't know it, but when Kennewick Man was actually found, they found an early model of a Trager flattop grill right next to him. And tailgating was actually started in 1883, when Tim McGraw and his family headed west to settle a piece of the country that is now known as Yellowstone.

The Big Green Egg grills — incredibly popular now — were used in prehistoric times. You may notice a larger models are about the size of a Brontosaurus egg ... well, I explain it best in my video:

Now, if you're ready to make history with your family — either with an excellently grilled holiday meal or a gift they'll never forget — head over to your nearest Ranch & Home. They have a wide selection of the brands you love, including Traeger, Big Green Egg, Broil King, Green Mountain Grills, and Louisiana Grills.

Visit Ranch & Home at one of their four locations or online at ranch-home.com, and be sure to tell 'em I sent you!
