When I was little my sister and I used to go 'Alligator Lizard' Hunting! 

We lived in Menlo Park before moving to the mountains of Santa Cruz. And we thought it was so fun to go out and turn over logs and find these Alligator lizards! We'd try to catch them and hold them! And sometimes bring them home. Sometimes they would  bite our fingers!

Later, I tried relentlessly to catch the field mice! Haha..I know, horrifying huh? We also used to go to a friends house and put a hose underneath her porch and turn on the water and all these huge Bull Frogs would come hopping out! Eureka! I thought that was the coolest thing EVER!

And of course Poly wogs were so much fun! We'd walk down to this pond and catch a bazillion Poly wogs and then bring them home and watch them turn into frogs! Caterpillars was another! Watching them turn into butterfly's! And we had Chameleon Lizards

too that we bought at the pet store that would change color when you put them on you!

I think I've had every kind of species from one time or another. I've always been fascinated by the unique personalities and traits of different pets.

When we moved to the Santa Cruz Mountains it became all about horses and that one stuck! As I still have horses today! But, I'm not so fond of lizards anymore...
