I found this guy living under the eave of my back porch. He's made a big, sticky web. Yesterday my neighbor and I threw a full-sized yellow jacket into the web and watched the carnage ensue! You won't believe this and YES, I shot it myself at MY house!

You'll notice the first thing it does is start wrapping him right away. You can see the wings go crazy as the hornet tries to escape. Once the spider has the stinger under control it wraps the wings and then bites it. Once the bug is paralyzed the spider finishes wrapping him and then coolly returns to its perch to wait until the hornet is nice and juicy.

After watching this spider in action a few times I know what's next. After it's eaten its prey it cuts it out of the web, let's it drop, then reweaves so it looks good as new. AMAZING!
