I ran into an old High School friend on Sunday, by the way it was really good to see you again,Christy. She told me about a fundraiser her group was having( see attached below) Christy is involved with a very special place called, my friends place. It is Southeastern Washington's only licensed shelter for homeless teenagers, ages 13-17. I had no idea there were so many homeless teens. My friends place serves up to 200 youth per year. Richland, Kennewick and Pasco school districts report approximately 650 registered homeless children at any given time. My friends place sees about 16 kids a night. Kids can get a hot meal, use the laundry services or just kick back and talk with one of the staff members. Greg and I want to get more involved with this, and we think you should also. Spot o Faith Farm in Pasco has nursed back to health horses that were rescued months ago. Some of these horses are well bred and will make fine riding companions.
