Over the weekend, Yakima County cases of COVID-19 jumped from 4 to 24 so the Yakima Health District has issued a stay-at-your-home order for the entire county, effective immediately.

All residents must remain at home except to get food, medicine or medical care or going to and from jobs that are essential until further notice.

Essential infrastructure will remain open, including essential local government, banks, grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, and utilities.

The Health District is advising that travel be limited for food, medical care and jobs that are essential during coronavirus outbreak.

The order went into effect Saturday night and will remain into effect until its lifted by the Health Department.
