Walla Walla Hosting Its First Ever Summer Parkway Event
June 3, (Sunday) Walla Walla will have its first ever Summer Parkway event. Summer Parkways are popular in many US cities.
Alder Street will become Walla Walla’s biggest and longest park. The street will be closed to motorized vehicles from Colville Street to Pioneer Park and open exclusively for all types of human-powered transportation.
Everyone’s welcome to travel on foot, bikes, skates, wheelchairs, wagons, and scooters. You can participate in fun and energetic activities for everyone. These will include games, yoga, and Cross-fit, as well as hula hoops, piñatas, pickle ball, a drum circle, stories, chair exercises, food, music, and much more.
Don’t miss this great event that’s being hosted by Summer Parkways and Children’s Day. Bike, walk, skate, or scoot on down and join the fun! Along with free water stations, fresh fruit, and light snacks for participants, food and drink vendors will be on hand for participants to enjoy.
