Vehicle Prowls On the Rise in Tri-Cities
My doorbell rang at 6 a.m. on a Sunday morning some months ago. With dogs barking and sleepy eyes, I answered the door because I saw that it was a West Richland police officer. He said he found a leather bag and items from it strewn all over the street about a block away. He found some papers and receipts that linked the bag back to me and was returning it. The prowler found nothing of use in it and discarded it. My truck windows weren't broken and I realized that I left it unlocked. Man, did I feel stupid because I always lock up. All it takes is once.
Well, that's my story. I hope you lock up so you won't have a story like this to tell!
