Illegal Underground Bunker Found in Yakima as Search for Missing Boy Continues
An illegal underground bunker was found by the family of a missing Yakima boy.
The search for 5-year-old Lucian Munguia has been ongoing since his disappearance on September 10th from Sarg Hubbard Park.
The lived in bunker was discovered by Lucian's father Juan Munguia nearly 2 weeks ago between the Yakima River ad Keys Road. Munguia also found remnants from an older bunker that had been cleaned up several years ago. Munguia and family members took videos and photos for the Yakima Police Department and code enforcement officers.
The bunker is about six feet deep with several rooms. There was a propane tank and a heater. It was found beneath several layers of dirt and tree branches. The searchers found weapons, scuba suits, masks, nooses, and more.
NOTHING of Lucian's was found in the bunker.
The elder Munguia admitted that finding the bunker freaked him out a little. He found the bunker creepy, but there was NO sign of Lucian anywhere in the bunker.
The Munguia family is offering a reward for Lucian's return.
The family is continuing to search for Lucian. A $10,000 reward is offered for the safe return of Lucian or for information that results in the safe return of Lucian. Anyone with information on Lucian or his whereabouts is asked to call the Yakima Police Department at 509-575-6200 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST.
