Truck in Kennewick Water Canal Leads To DUI Arrest [PHOTO]
A truck went into a water canal this morning in Kennewick and now a woman has been arrested in connection with the accident.
Kennewick Police earlier this morning reported that a truck had gone into a water canal near Creekstone Drive and South Williams Street. KPD responded and filed this report:
This morning we responded with Kennewick Fire Department to Creekstone Drive and S. Williams Street for a pickup truck in the canal. Luckily the driver was not injured. Through investigation it was determined the vehicle was eastbound on Creekstone and failed to follow the curve of the road, instead of driving straight into the water. Impairment was suspected and ultimately the driver, 57-year-old Robin Berry was booked into the Benton County Jail for DUI.
Berry was arrested on suspicion of DUI and the truck was removed and impounded from the canal.
