The Tri-Cities Dust Devils baseball team will be honoring migrant agricultural workers that have helped to shape and sustain the Washington wine industry and they'll be doing it with special purple uniform that they'll wear at three home games this season...

The Tri-City Dust Devils are located in the heart of Washington wine country. Surrounded by four separate AVAs (American Viticulture Areas), Eastern Washington produces quality grapes and wines that are distributed nationwide. The migrant agricultural workers in this region play an integral role in the success of the Washington wine industry. As we started the journey of selecting a Copa identity, we wanted to not only select a way to honor and incorporate the Hispanic community, but to also represent the migrant agricultural workers that have helped to shape and sustain the Washington wine industry.

 

The Viñeros, or Vintagers, are instrumental in assuring the yearly grape harvest runs smooth and efficient. Our Viñeros logo is designed towards paying homage to these hard-working people while incorporating the welcoming spirit that Minor League Baseball is known for. Our colors were selected to represent the wine country that we call home. The primary Merlot color represents the award winning red wines that come from our region, while the pop of green nods to the beautiful vines which blanket the hill sides of South Eastern Washington.
