Teen Fights Brother, Then Shoots Both Parents with Gun
18-year-old Jaime Uribe Jr. from Grandview is facing charges of first-degree assault after he shot both his parents with a gun. There was an argument in the household between Jaime Jr and his older brother according to news reports. Jaime went and got a hand gun and both his parents got between the brothers to stop them. That is when Jaime fired the gun, hitting his father in the arm and his mother in the chest. Both parents survived but had to be taken to hospitals in Seattle and Spokane.
Jaime Uribe Jr was only 17 at the time of the shooting, but turned 18 on Monday and that is why he is being tried as an adult.
