A recent chase turned perilous for one storm enthusiast, revealing just how quickly calm can turn into chaos with a tornado lurking.

I guess some people in Washington are upset there were no tornadoes or large hail yesterday, but now the National Weather Service is explaining just how close we actually came to having them.

Think of it as a dust devil on steroids, weatherwise.
