Kennewick Police have released the Southridge bomb pictures from their investigation and possible details on the suspects in question.

Here is the official briefing from the Kennwick Police Department's page:

At about 4:45 pm on Sunday, July 21, officers responded to the south parking lot at Southridge High School for the report of an explosion.

Upon arrival officers located the remnants of a cooking pot. The Richland WA Police Department bomb squad responded to the area to make sure the scene was safe and to collect the evidence. Initial reports that it was a pressure cooker are inaccurate, it was not.

Witnesses reported seeing a silver car driving away from the area at a high rate of speed. With the help of the Kennewick School District we were able to identify the explosion, a suspect vehicle (silver) and a possible witness vehicle (black) that drove through the lot and left prior to the explosion.

There were no reported injuries or property damage related to this incident and we don't have any reason to believe the school was or is being specifically targeted. This is an on-going investigation.

If you have any information about this incident or were in the black car please call us at 509-628-0333 or at Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
