See the Most Dangerous Cities in Oregon
Only communities with at least 5,000 people were ranked. Crimes committed per capita were calculated out of fairness. The stats considered violent crimes and property crimes in 2015 (which tallies were available in late 2016). Under that criteria, the most dangerous communities were:
Coos Bay (on the coast)
Medford (southwest part of state in Klamath forests)
Lincoln City (on the coast)
Grants Pass (right next to Medford)
Astoria (northwest part of state)
Cottage Grove (about 10 miles south of Eugene)
Madras (central part of state)
Springfield (next to Eugene)
Klamath Falls (south central part of state)
Lebanon (located halfway between Salem and Eugene)
GOOD NEWS! None were in northeast Oregon!
