Seahawks – 7 to the Pro Bowl & Aiming For A Division Crown
Two games to go for the Seattle Seahawk's 2020 regular season and the Hawks are in the playoffs and aiming for a a division title. At 10-4 the mission is clear - beat the Rams and the Seahawks are NFC West champs for the first time since 2016. Game time is 1:05 pm in Seattle this Sunday 12/27. It's been another roller coaster Seahawks season but along the way the team has played well enough to tie the franchise record by placing a league-best seven players on the Pro Bowl team. The Chiefs, Packers and Ravens also placed seven on the honor squad.
The NFL-dot-com says "The 2021 Pro Bowl Game originally was scheduled to be played Jan. 31 in Las Vegas, but was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the NFL is working with EA Sports to create a week-long series of matchups featuring celebrities, NFL Legends, current players and streamers playing the official Pro Bowl rosters on Madden NFL 21. The week culminates in a virtual Pro Bowl game with 2021 Pro Bowl players playing within Madden, which will be available for fans to watch across a variety of platforms."
It never gets old -Two Seahawks are an annual lock to make the team - quarterback Russell Wilson, been there done that eight times in his nine NFL seasons, and linebacker Bobby Wagner, who has made it seven straight times since 2014.
The Seattle Times reports "Wilson and Wagner were the only Seattle Pro Bowl picks a year ago, and Wilson is tied with Cortez Kennedy for the second-most selections in team history behind the nine of Walter Jones. Wagner is tied for fourth with Steve Largent at seven. Seattle’s other Pro Bowl selections for 2020 are receiver DK Metcalf, safeties Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs and two members of a special-teams unit that has been among the best in the NFL all season — snapper Tyler Ott and Nick Bellore, who has 12 special-teams tackles, tied for third-most in the league."
