Since August 1, 2022, there have been 20 UFO sightings reported in Washington. Which is slightly above average, and it’s not surprising, as Washington ranks number one in the nation for UFO sightings with over 6800 logged reports since the 1940s.

Here's what a Richland resident reported seeing a few weeks ago, describing the object as cigar-shaped.

“I felt like something was watching me. Then I looked around and saw something move from the corner of my eye and up in the sky, I saw a lot of stars clustered in one area. Then there was a beam of light behind it with even brighter lights on top of it. It looked like a cigar, and started flying west…by the time my camera captured a picture it looks like another star in the sky.”

Cigar-shaped UFOs are commonly reported.

This UFO encounter surprised this night sky photographer who admits, “UFOs have never been of any interest to me”. He goes on to say he does time-lapse Astrophotography and reported, “I saw an extremely bright Orange to Red changing light moving East to West at +20 degrees”. He made a point to say “an intense magnitude in brightness and near moon size instantly reminded me of the brightness associated with welding...this is probably a poor definition but may simply summarize the shock and awe I experienced..."

Another cigar-shaped UFO appeared over a residence in Auburn, shocking the husband and wife who have lived there for over 24 years,

“The huge body of the craft blocked out the stars as it moved & also blended into the night sky so that details on the craft were not visible. It moved slowly over our trees and up into the middle of the sky until it disappeared into the heavens.”

The UFO report states her husband was able to get video but it was too dark to make out the object so she drew a sketch of what she says was an object over 300 feet long.
