Paul Drake's wife and son saw a car drive into the Columbia River! You heard that right. They were on it like Batman!

They saw the car slowly drifting and sinking at the Columbia Park boat ramp from the Blue Bridge. When they got there the engine was still running with the windshield wipers going. The son ran along a nearby dock looking for passengers and Paul's wife dove in the water and opened a back door to let anyone out who might be trapped.

It was empty.

Witnesses saw a man in his 20s soaking wet running from the scene.

Kennewick police arrested a man they believe was involved. He told them he meant to take a photo of the water and accidentally hit gas instead of the brake. He could not show them a cell phone to back up his story. The car still had a "dealer plate" and police were wondering if it was stolen. He was arrested for DUI.
